Soul Identity - Reader Views Review by Dr. Carol Hoyer (as posted on ReaderViews.com)
Through the vivid descriptions of the characters and events happening in the attempt by one organization, ‘Soul Identity,’ to track and identify souls over twenty-six-hundred years, the author makes us feel we are right there, questioning our beliefs about what can and will happen to us when we die. The main character, Scott Waverly, isn’t a believer in soul tracking and thinks that this group might be a cult just to get people’s money and give them little in return. Through daring observations, trickery and bribes Waverly tries to find the truth that puts him in imminent danger. While “Soul Identity” is about science, religion and personal beliefs, the highlight of the book is about what happens when a corrupt religious group takes over the thoughts of everyday citizens--who is the ultimate winner when one finds out that they are being conned and is it possible for a non-believer to become a believer?
